The night before was a late one, really late one. However, when you get an invite to join friends for brunch, you get up & out the door.

New Year’s Day we had brunch at one of New York’s staple, ABC Kitchen by chef Jean-Georges. If you haven’t been, it’s a must try. Located in the ABC Carpet & Home store means, you can browse for chandeliers, Ganesh (or Ganeshsa) statuettes, unique jewelry & cosmetics all before working up a hearty appetite. ABC Kitchen is environmentally conscious, almost all items on the menu comes from local suppliers. They even put thought in to the menu, which is made up of recycled paper and affixed to pieces of cardboard with binder clips.

Because I accidentally fell back asleep after I received the invite, I didn’t have to really think about what to wear. I picked out basic pieces, plus my two new favorite obsessions. Black rinse jeans and long sleeve tee. Obsessions… snood and four finger ring set.

As usual, the food was fantastic. For the first time ever, I tried a juice from the elixir juice bar. Was it wrong that I had them add a shot vodka? Don’t judge! All that healthiness had me glowing.
