Because many of my friends and I weren’t able to bring in the New Year together, I organized a post NYE celebration. Saturday, January 4th we gathered at The Ace Hotel, New York for cocktails & conversation.
I was torn between two ensembles on NYE. If you follow my blog, you know I went with the black tank & sequin deco pencil skirt. This evening, I went with the alternative choice. Though it’s after the official holiday, I decided to go with sequins yet again. Yea, I’m crazy like that.
I’m happy I kept this dress, I was seriously thinking about returning it. It was a lot of fun to wear. Thank goodness for black opaque tights. The fit model for this dress was not 5’11. More like 5’7 or shorter. The hemline barely reached my finger tips. Fortunately, it had a high neck line, which balanced out the look. You know what the style gods & your mom told you, if you’re going to show a lot of leg, cover up the rest.
According to the response I received, a fun time was had by all.
