Many of you will recognize this dress from a post I did back in June titled Connecting the Dots . After viewing my own images, I realized I got it wrong. Yes, I’m a fashion blogger and I can get it wrong just like anyone else.

Hmm, I wonder how many other bloggers would admit to that?

Anyway… though the fit, length and overall scale of the dress was wrong on me, I loved it too much to toss away. One day after work, I made a pit stop in Mood Fabrics (home to Project Runway designers).

I went downstairs to the eyelet section, found a suitable (in my opinion) contrasting color in a similar pattern, purchased a few yards and I was out of there. I went home, took out my sewing box, measured, cut and created the new look all under 90 minutes.

End result, I loved the new length and striking border. (Click on the link in the first sentence to see how the dress looked originally, or scroll to the bottom of this post).
