When you just can’t find the perfect maxi dress, make it yourself.
And that’s what I did. I wanted a maxi dress that was the perfect length (difficult when you’re 5’10). Made from a beautiful stretch jersey. A strong color, halter neckline & something that wasn’t ordinary. I looked everywhere…online & retail stores, high-end & low-end. Nothing!
So, I took matters in to my own hands. I went to world-renowned Mood Fabrics, NYC. I mean, if it’s good enough for Project Runway contestants, it should be good enough for me. Plus, I get to feel like I’m on the show…. for a few minutes.
I made this dress for under $40.00. That includes 3 yards of fabric, 1 yard of half inch elastic and 1 spool of thread.
