Back in April I went home one Saturday. While home, mom wanted to go shopping (what a surprise). We went to all our favorite locations, Americana Manhasset, Walt Whitman Mall and ended the shopping spree at Tanger Deer Park.
One might think I was ecstatic with a little number I got from Alice & Olivia. Maybe in love with a special piece from Anthropologie. Well you’d be wrong! It was a simple dress from JCrew Factory that sent me over the moon.
When my eyes landed upon the mannequin showcasing it, I started buzzing around the floor in search of this must have piece. I found it and scurried off to the fitting room. It was on and off in minutes. This dress was coming home with me. I did a bit more shopping and we brought the day to a close.
When I hung this dress in my closet, there wasn’t a specific place or time when I planned to wear it. I assumed, I’d wear it later in the summer. No biggie. That wasn’t the case at all. Yesterday evening I attended a private art exhibit, followed by a 30min Q&A and then sit down dinner at The Jewish Museum of New York City. What did I wear….
